Florida Space Coast
The Space Coast, made up of 4 main cities (Titusville, Cocoa Beach,
Melbourne and Palm Bay) and a host of smaller municipalities, is home to the Kennedy Space Center and the magnificent space shuttles. The Space Coast has things to do and places to go that are easily overlooked...three of Florida's top 10 beaches, remote and pristine places
to hike and kayak, 210 types of birds to watch, terrific fishing, and an abundance
of funky, eclectic restaurants, bars and hangouts with some of the world's
greatest views. From our own backyards, we are lucky enough to see space shuttles and
rockets blasting towards space. It is hard to describe the feeling of
pride we have to be so close when the giant orbiter streaks toward the
skies. Up close you can see the billowing exhaust trailing behind the
shuttle and its solid rocket boosters. Evening launches turn night to
day. We never tire of telling stories about what a great experience it
is. We like to travel our causeways and take delight that everywhere
we turn, there are beautiful waterways and beaches. There is nothing
like fresh squeezed orange juice from our own citrus tree first thing in the
morning. The fishing is great, surfing is fun and there are plenty of
golf courses to challenge you. Living on the Space Coast does have its
advantages. We love to share these advantages and our space with
visitors and vacationers from all over. We get to enjoy this wonderful lifestyle of
living year round. We understand you only have a limited number of
days to enjoy all that we have, so it is our hope our vacation planner will
assist you as you plan your memories-in-the-making. As you visit our
area and take in all the attractions, shopping and dining out in our fine
restaurants ( with ambiance that you are sure to tell your friends about),
your days will get quite busy. Do what the locals do. Relax,
enjoy and savor your time away from home and make this the best vacation
ever. Watch the sun rise over the ocean and then set along our river. Take walks with each other on a warm
winter's morning. Wave to the passengers on our cruise ships as they leave
our Port; bird-watch. Hike in our national wildlife refuge. Watch the
manatees drift lazily in a canal. Enjoy the fresh air and then take a sip of
that orange juice!
