Dr. Gray: '08 Hurricane Season Above Average

Ft. Collins, Colorado — The latest forecast from Dr. William Gray indicates that the 2008 hurricane season will consist of above average storm activities compared to previous years.  Preliminary reports points to the possibility that the number of Atlantic-based hurricanes can be as high as 7; three of which are considered to me major hurricanes of category 4 and 5. However, Dr. Gray's team of forecasters based out of Colorado State University in Fort Collins reiterated that the predictions are very preliminary.  These predictions are issued six months before the start of the 2008 hurricane season, which begins in June of 2008 and ends in November of 2008.
